Why Abuja north should produce NYCN Abuja chairman... By Barr. Ishmael Tafida

WHY ABUJA NORTH SHOULD PRODUCE NYCN ABUJA CHAIRMAN

I don't so much like history because it's like KARMA and most people believe karma is a haunter. Just as KARMA reveals the past, so is history. This time, history has got an interesting memory to play before you and me.

This is not about sectionalism but about equity and sense of belonging. This is not about regionalism but about inclusion and unity. Unity is the paramount tool on which all of us can seemly assume the ownership of our brotherhood and sisterhood.

Sometimes it seems their is no choice but to help remind people what yesterday was and how tomorrow should be in not just some wild thoughts but through the reflection of the tenets of unity.
There is a philosophy that states that "there is beauty in our diversity"

Believe me or not, that is an axiomatic philosophy. It's unarguable and has proven its authenticity. The beauty in our diversity is not scam or taking advantage of our weakness or abusing the unpopularity of the other.

The essence of this cardinal evaluation is to wake the sleeping thoughts of our neighbors close to us in Abuja north. The lazy cannot eat or feed if they don't work for it and this seriously brings us to the image of how we have shared our meal in the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) in Abuja.

Over the times, the leadership of the said youth organization under the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development in Nigeria has resided in the southern part of Abuja with little or no opposition from the Northern part of Abuja.

The simple quest this time around for sharing of what belongs to us among us is not sectionalism or regionalism bigotry but a true definition and call for equilibria belonging. Even though leadership has no color, section, region but let's give thoughts to collective leadership and inclusive growth as the topmost aim of public gathering.

Once tested, can be testified. Once built, can be corrected. Once grown, can be eaten. Once allowed, can be refused. Once carried, can be dropped. Motivation and zeal are the two fundamentals of courage.

It is in clear record that Abuja North is yet to produce the NYCN chairman in Abuja and this upcoming elections in the organization interestingly call on all those who have held unto the leadership in Abuja to relinquish power to Abuja North.

Let's as a matter of brotherhood and neighborhood assume that once the leadership of NYCN in Abuja is decentralized, it provides and depicts power among us in the FCT.

Not to drag long my intention, I wish to humbly submit that "when power is shared, power is built"

Long live NYCN
Long live Abuja North
Long live Abuja South
Long live Nigerian Youths
Long live Nigeria

  1. You have spoken well, it is when one is tested and is not equals to the task that he or she is said to be incompetent. But one thing I will add is that if we are not United the sharing of power will always pass us by because of division, and other region will take advantage of that.
